Cambridge Primary Curriculum

Cambridge Primary Curriculum

The Cambridge Primary Curriculum for students aged 5 - 11 offers a broad and balanced introduction to learning, combining creativity and exploration with an academic focus. Students develop strong foundations in English and Science, while engaging in a variety of other subjects such as Physical Education (PE), Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education (PSHE), and Music to name a few, and begin their journey into maths with the renowned Singapore Mathematics.

This integration of the Cambridge international curriculum with Singapore’s strong foundation in Mathematics gives students a competitive edge.

Lessons are designed to promote curiosity, communication, and well-being while inspiring a growth mindset, problem-solving, and self-expression.

With over 10 subjects available, the Cambridge Primary Curriculum offered at Invictus International Schools offers flexibility to adapt to each child’s strengths and interests. This means that by the end of Primary School, each and every student has developed the knowledge, confidence, and love of learning needed to succeed in Lower Secondary so that they are ready to question, explore, and excel in their new academic challenges.

Cambridge Secondary Curriculum

Cambridge Secondary Curriculum

Studied by students between the ages of 11 and 14, Cambridge Lower Secondary builds on the foundations of Primary School by continuing to provide significant breadth in areas of study, but now focusing into key aspects of each and the start of subjects mastery and independent learning. The key disciplines of English, Mathematics, and Science combine with subjects such as Global Perspectives, Art, and PSHE to create an academic focus within a holistic environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

It is here that students begin to take ownership of their learning and development, exploring new areas of interest through a variety of enrichment opportunities with confidence and a critical mind. Ongoing teacher support then focuses this attention into promoting resilience, reflection, and a growth mindset - key factors students will require as they move into the more academically focused IGCSEs in Upper Secondary.

International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

During Cambridge Upper Secondary (14-16), students undertake the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). As subject options are chosen by the student themself, this globally respected qualification marks a key milestone in a student’s academic journey, paving their personalised pathway to university life and the career that lays beyond.

Studying between 5 and 10 subjects ranging from English to Chinese, from Biology to Psychology, or from Literature to Media Studies, students are afforded an opportunity to individualise their learning into areas of interest. In doing so they are motivated in their studies and with teacher support continue to develop effective analytical thinking, research, and communication while preparing learners for the depth of study and independence required at A-Level.
