English Language Support (ELS)

Why ELS

ELS aims to empower literacy success for those who learn differently or have additional English needs (AEN) . ELS provides a comprehensive and quality curriculum that supports learners facing literacy challenges. The lessons integrate key essential learning components that are crucial in remediating learners with learning differences or AEN. The program is multi-sensory and structured to facilitate reading, writing and spelling development in our students.

What is ELS

ELS aims to bridge the gaps in foundational knowledge or skills of the learners. The program takes a personalised approach and focuses on phonemic awareness and phonics, reading fluency and reading comprehension. Indeed we go beyond phonics, we also emphasise on vocabulary development and writing skills. Through some informal assessments conducted in school, the ELS teachers ensure that students are placed in their appropriate level of ability in the ELS classes. We believe that understanding each child’s unique learning style is crucial for effective intervention. We tailor our supportive strategies to meet the student’s specific needs to ensure they receive the most effective and best personalised assistance.

Who are we

Our ELS teachers have multiple years of teaching experience and are professionally trained to provide intervention to students on this program. Our teachers are committed to unlock the full potential and achieve academic success.
