Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching for Higher Education

PLP Teacher

Ms Gracy Yap is a Cambridge certified teacher, curriculum writer and a DISC Human Behaviour Consultant. Her desire to make a difference led her to make a career switch from advertising to become an educator. She has 18 years of experience teaching foreign students at all levels - from preschool to adult learner. Her love for travel resulted in overseas posting and working stints in China and Malaysia as an ESL Teacher.

Prior to joining Invictus, Ms Gracy taught English to relocated expat professionals working in Fortune 500 MNCs and their families from diverse backgrounds. The most enriching part was teaching young learners and teenagers from Korea, Taiwan, China and Germany for the past four years, and learning about their culture! Ms Gracy was also a summer school adjunct Business English teacher with SIM Global Education, and a former HOD of Business English and Curriculum Unit in Higher Education. A versatile teacher and trainer, she has delivered enrichment programmes in MOE schools in Singapore and resume writing, interview skills talks to schools in Indonesia and Vietnam.

She holds professional teaching qualifications from the University of Cambridge (CIDTT, with Distinction, 2005), Certificates for TESOL & TEFL, and a Postgrad Certificate in L&T. A lifelong learner, she has just earned a MicroMasters in Organizational Psychology awarded by the University of Canterbury, New Zealand (2024).

She has a passion for impacting lives and awakening curious young minds to be the best version of themselves. Outside of work, Ms Gracy is a published author with Amazon, and an active Rotarian. She is serving as the Chair for Rotary Foundation and DEI Director in her Rotary club (2023-2024). Her hobbies include watching K-dramas, karaoke, food, and travel.
